Wedding Favors!

My baby sister is getting married and I asked if I could make her wedding favors.  Since she’s going with a glass theme I thought it would be fun to use etchall® products and make some unique glasses for the guests to take home.

I’ve used etchall® etching crème before and now that I had the etchall® Dip ‘n Etch liquid I couldn’t wait to try it out.  Not only are these products easy to use, but they are re-usable products.  You can go to their site http://www.etchall.com and find out more about all the great products they offer.

When you use the etch liquid, you need a plastic container that is big enough to hold the item you are etching.  Now, I only wanted to etch the rim of my glass items so I took a small wide bowl to work with.

1st step, place your glass container into the etching liquid and wait for 15 minutes.

2nd, remove your glass item and rinse completely inside and out to make sure you don’t have any etching liquid left, do this fast to prevent any other areas to be etched, make sure to dry completely.

3rd, you can now see the final result, I loved how clean the etching looks.  I like the simplicity of this item, I might add some embellishments or just leave it this way.

Here you can see the before and after. A very easy to use product that can alter the look of any glass item you chose to work with. This can become an addictive craft.  I spent two entire days working with these products, I will share on a different post the rest of the wedding favors made using @etchall products.
